01 / The story

A silent art. A lifelong journey. A living future.

When an art disappears from the street, it begins to disappear from memory.

Mime once belonged to public squares, travelling performers and popular imagination. Today, it is rarely encountered in everyday life.

Denis does not preserve mime as a museum piece. He puts it back in motion — through performance, education, inclusion and direct human connection.

02 / The beginning

“At eight years old, Denis discovered a language that needed no words.”

Watching Marcel Marceau opened a door. What began as fascination became a life of theatre, pantomime, direction, writing, research and social pedagogy.

Based in Canada, Denis founded Mimesis Theatre and built an original repertoire that has travelled through Europe, Asia and the Americas. Every performance and workshop asks the same question: what can the body say when words fall away?

05 / Inclusive practice

Movement has no single language.

Mime can create another path toward expression, confidence, attention and shared play.

Denis’ inclusive workshops are shaped with specialized pedagogical support and can be adapted for neurodivergent children, participants with intellectual or developmental disabilities, educators, families and support professionals.

07 / The mission

Silence is not an absence.
It is a place where people meet.

On stage, in a classroom or in the middle of a city street, Denis invites audiences to stop, look, imagine and remember the expressive power of the human body.
